Part 3 of 5: The Golden Ratio: Revealing Secret 2 — How to Unlock Our Destiny
The legendary writer and philosopher, Ralph Waldo Emerson, said:
"The greatest success is to remain yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else."
How can we remain ourselves if we do not know who we are?
Just like in nature and the vast cosmos, the Golden Ratio (1.618) operates within us humans too. It provides the ultimate mathematical blueprint for our body, mind, and soul. It is not an abstract, cold number—it is the organic formula nature uses to keep us perfectly balanced and stable as we grow.
We do not need a microscope to see our divine geometry of balance; we only need to look at our own hand. It is the Golden Ratio that shapes our fingers and forms our beautiful Golden Fist.
- The Constant (1.618): Every single finger bone—from the tip, to the middle, to the base, to the palm—is exactly 1.618 times longer than the bone preceding it.
- The Logarithmic Spiral: Because it uses this precise mathematical ratio, our fingers curl inward to form a Golden Fist, tracking the exact same proportional spiral found in the depths of the ocean and the arms of galaxies.
- Preserving Its Identity: Even though the hand grows larger from infancy to adulthood, the geometric proportions never change, and its centre of power remains perfectly balanced. It interacts with the universe without ever losing its balance or forgetting its origin.
The Golden Ratio Secret 2: Compassion — The Energy of Our Heart

I believe the Golden Ratio forms our Golden Triangle—the three universal core values that anchor our soul. The first was Integrity, which we unlocked in my last post. Today, we step into the centre of our being to reveal our second core value: Compassion.
We must possess the willingness to change and adapt everything in our lives, except these three core values.
Compassion: Demands we are never cruel—to ourselves or to others—but caring, honest, and kind.
The Core Meaning
- Empathy + Action: Unlike sympathy (feeling sorry for ourselves or others) or empathy (knowing what we or others feel), compassion is active. It demands that when we experience pain and feel empathy, we take immediate action to help ourselves first, then help others, and spread kindness to ourselves and others.
- The Oxygen Mask Rule: Self-care is not selfish. We must put our own oxygen mask on first before we can assist others.
- Fearless Presence & Hope: It is the courage to be emotionally present with a person in their hardest, darkest moments without judging them, feeling sorry for them, fixing them, or looking away. It is teaching them that 'It's not what happens to you, but how you react to it that matters,' and promising that you will be waiting for them—no matter how long it takes.
The Proton is Compassion (The Energy of Our Heart):
I believe we can visualise our soul as the nucleus of the atom (our being), where the neutron represents Integrity and the proton represents Compassion.
Protons carry a vibrant, positive electrical charge. They sit inside the nucleus right alongside the neutrons, providing the essential energetic balance of the atom—our being. Without protons, the atom would have no charge, no attraction, and no capacity to connect and bond with our soul or the rest of the universe.
This is exactly what Compassion does—it is the active, warm energy that fuels, connects, and bonds the light and love of our human heart with our soul and the universe. Compassion carries no judgment or conditions. As Martin Luther King Jr. beautifully put it: 'Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.'
When we exist on Autopilot, trapped in our trust deficit and fear mindset, our inner world becomes cold, defensive, and isolated. We treat our own vulnerabilities with hostility, and we view the wounds of others with suspicion. In this fractured state, our truth becomes brutal, and our actions become transactional. We lose our way, unable to see the forest for the trees.
Just as the proton and neutron must fuse together to create a stable, peaceful nucleus, Integrity and Compassion must be connected and united within our soul. Integrity gives us the courage to look at the absolute truth of our wounds, while Compassion gives us the energy we need to generate our light and love. We must remember the timeless wisdom of Aesop: 'United we stand, divided we fall.'"
Find out in Part 4, where I reveal third secret contained in the Golden Ratio, and how this constant can help return us to our root, find peace and fulfil our destiny.
